The prettiest setting is not always the one that survives a working week. If the ring is going on and staying on, the setting matters as much as the stone.
Bezel
A rim of metal wraps the whole stone. Nothing catches, nothing snags, and the diamond is protected on every side. It reads modern and sits closest to the finger.
Low-set solitaire
Four or six prongs hold the stone just above the band. Classic, easy to clean, and the prongs can be checked and tightened for life at no charge.
Halo
Small stones ring the centre. Beautiful under evening light, but the many prongs collect more and need a gentler day. We would keep this one for occasions.
